The Project

• rbb Innovationsprojekte

  The goal of the project was to develop a technical platform enabling the enrichment of 360° video with subtitles and sign language, enhancing accessibility.

  A further aspect was the personalisation of subtitles design and sign language presentation according to the requirements and preferences of users.

  Project partners developed tailor-made tools to produce the accessible content and are researching methods for distribution and playback of immersive media via broadcast and the internet.

  360° content by adaptingestablished accessibility practices in TV to incorporate immersive media. We worked closely with users with accessibility needs and with their representative organisations in Berlin and Brandenburg to develop concepts and gather feedback on usability.

  In addition, ImAc developed a platform which spans the entire production and distribution chain. rbb brought its broadcaster expertise to the formulation of requirements and validated tools with professional users.
